Perfect Boiled Egg

Materials

  • 1 Ea egg

Instructions

  • Place eggs in pot of cold water with a dash of salt so that about 1" of water covers the eggs.
  • Bring to boil and boil 5 minutes. 
  • Turn off heat and leave pot on burner for 20 minutes. 
  • Remove pot from heat and drain water. 
  • Add cold water filling the pot.
  • Add 4 cups or lots of ice to pot and leave for 20 minutes. 
  • Place eggs on egg plate. Refrigerate. 

Notes

The time to boil varies widely. I use a timer to keep checking since a watched pot never boils.
