Sauteed Mushrooms (SCD)

I use these mushrooms for Thanksgiving and other great meals.

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¾ pound button mushrooms white, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced (I use 2 for UC)
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch black pepper freshly ground to taste
  • ¼ tsp sea salt optional


  • Heat olive oil and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  •  Stir mushrooms, garlic, cooking wine, garlic salt, and black pepper into the hot oil and butter until mushrooms are lightly browned, About 5 minutes
  • Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until mushrooms are tender, 
  • Serve warm.
